The Festool splinter guard is a transparent splinter guard for guide rails. These guards would be used with guide rails and circular saws. The replacement guard would be used mostly by trade professionals and some home DIY users. The splinter guard stops you from getting splinters from the piece of wood you’re trying cut. Sliding your hand down the guide rail against the wood, it lowers your chances of getting splinters. They are easy to stick on and replace.
